Genel Bakış

Tempo is a development environment that combines AI code generation, visual design, and a live React codebase so teams can prototype and build production apps in one place. Instead of switching between Figma, an IDE, and AI chat tools, developers and designers work on the same components and see changes reflected in real code. The platform targets React projects specifically, generating clean component code that integrates with existing repositories. It is aimed at startups and product teams that want to move quickly from idea to working UI without sacrificing code quality or developer control.

Temel özellikler

  • AI-powered React component generation
  • Visual editor synced with code
  • Live preview of changes
  • Git and codebase integration
  • Reusable component library
  • Collaborative design-to-code workspace

Kullanım senaryoları

Prototype React UIs with AI

Quickly generate working React components from prompts and iterate visually, letting startups move from idea to interactive prototype without leaving the workspace.

Bridge design and engineering

Designers and developers collaborate on the same components in a shared visual editor synced with real code, eliminating handoff friction between Figma and the IDE.

Extend existing React codebases

Integrate with Git to add AI-generated components directly into production React repositories while preserving code quality and developer control.

Build a reusable component library

Create and maintain a shared library of React components that product teams can visually edit, preview live, and reuse across projects.

Years in this space

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is git and codebase integration — handled better than most — and faster prototyping and iteration. Limited to the React ecosystem is my one real gripe. Worth the time if this is your use case.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Live preview of changes is exactly what I needed, and works with existing React codebases. I do wish less useful for non-UI backend work, but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Does the job

Pretty happy overall. AI-powered React component generation just works and unified design and code workflow. AI output may need manual cleanup can be annoying, but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: collaborative design-to-code workspace and works with existing React codebases. Where it lags: aI output may need manual cleanup. On balance the feature set — especially reusable component library — justifies the 4 stars for our use case.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on git and codebase integration, and works with existing React codebases caught me off guard. AI output may need manual cleanup is why this isn't a perfect score, still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Sorular

How much manual work is needed after Tempo generates a component?

Tempo produces real React code through its AI generation, but output may require manual cleanup before it's production-ready. It's best suited for UI work, and offers little value for backend or non-UI tasks.

Does Tempo work with my existing React codebase, or only for new projects?

Tempo integrates with existing React repositories through Git and codebase integration, so you can use it on current projects rather than starting from scratch. Generated components are clean React code that fits into your existing structure.

Is Tempo useful if my team works in Vue, Svelte, or other frameworks?

No. Tempo is built specifically for the React ecosystem, so teams using Vue, Svelte, Angular, or other frameworks won't be able to take advantage of its component generation and visual editor.
