Översikt

Pointer is an AI writing assistant built specifically for Google Docs. Instead of generating text in a separate chat window, it makes edits directly inside your document using Google's native Suggestions mode, so every change is visible, attributable, and easy to accept or reject. Powered by Claude, Pointer can rewrite passages, tighten prose, fix grammar, restructure sections, and apply style guidance across a document. Because suggestions appear in the familiar Google Docs review flow, writers and editors keep full control over what makes it into the final draft. The tool is aimed at writers, editors, marketers, and teams who already collaborate in Docs and want AI assistance without leaving their existing workflow or losing track of revisions.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Designed for collaborative editing teams is exactly what I needed, and fits into existing Docs collaboration workflow. but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Does the job

Pretty happy overall. Accept or reject changes individually just works and fits into existing Docs collaboration workflow. Less useful for non-writing tasks can be annoying, but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.
