Visão geral

Figma AI is a suite of artificial intelligence capabilities integrated into Figma's design platform. It helps designers move from idea to interface faster by automating repetitive tasks like layer renaming, asset searching, and generating starter designs from text prompts. Aimed at product designers, UX teams, and cross-functional collaborators, the toolset works alongside Figma's existing canvas, components, and prototyping features. It supports workflows ranging from early ideation and wireframing to refining copy, removing image backgrounds, and exploring visual variations within a single file. Because it lives inside Figma, teams can apply AI assistance without leaving their design environment, keeping feedback loops, libraries, and version history intact.

Funcionalidades principais

  • Text-to-design generation
  • Automatic layer renaming and organization
  • Visual and asset search across files
  • Image background removal
  • AI-assisted copy and content suggestions
  • Prototype and interaction shortcuts

Casos de uso

Generate Starter Designs from Prompts

Quickly turn text prompts into initial interface layouts, giving designers a starting point for wireframes and early ideation without building from scratch.

Automate Layer Cleanup

Use automatic layer renaming and organization to keep complex Figma files tidy, saving time on repetitive housekeeping tasks before handoff.

Find Assets Across Files

Leverage visual and asset search to locate components, images, and frames across projects, speeding up reuse and consistency in design systems.

Refine Visuals and Copy

Remove image backgrounds and generate AI-assisted copy suggestions directly on the canvas to polish mockups without switching tools.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on text-to-design generation, and helps non-designers contribute to drafts caught me off guard. Quality of generated designs still needs human refinement is why this isn't a perfect score, still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Solid for our team

We rolled this out across the team last quarter and useful for teams already on Figma. Visual and asset search across files fits neatly into how we already work, and prototype and interaction shortcuts removed a step we used to do by hand. but it has held up under daily use.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Visual and asset search across files is exactly what I needed, and helps non-designers contribute to drafts. but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Years in this space

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is automatic layer renaming and organization — handled better than most — and helps non-designers contribute to drafts. Worth the time if this is your use case.
