MemoryPlugin

Cross-platform long-term memory layer for your favorite AI chatbots.

4.3 (4)

Overzicht

MemoryPlugin adds persistent, long-term memory to AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, and other LLM tools. It remembers details you share across conversations—such as your preferences, projects, and ongoing context—so you don't have to repeat yourself in every new chat. The tool works through browser extensions and integrations, syncing a single memory store across supported platforms. Users can view, edit, or delete what the AI remembers, and organize memories into 'buckets' for different topics or roles. It's designed for people who use multiple AI tools and want a consistent experience without manually copying context between them.

Unified Memory Across AI Chatbots

Share your preferences and project details once and have ChatGPT, Claude, and other supported LLMs recall them automatically, eliminating repetitive context-setting between tools.

Organize Context with Memory Buckets

Separate work, personal, and project-specific memories into distinct buckets so the AI pulls only relevant context for each conversation or role.

Maintain Long-Term Project Context

Keep ongoing projects, decisions, and details persistently available across sessions so your AI assistant stays up to speed without manual re-briefing.

Audit and Control AI Memory

Use the management dashboard to review, edit, or delete what the AI remembers, giving users transparency and control over stored personal context.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on cross-platform sync (ChatGPT, Claude, and more), and user-controlled memory editing and deletion caught me off guard. Subscription required for full features is why this isn't a perfect score, still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.

Years in this space

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is automatic context injection into prompts — handled better than most — and reduces repetitive prompting. Subscription required for full features is my one real gripe. Worth the time if this is your use case.

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: persistent memory across chat sessions and user-controlled memory editing and deletion. On balance the feature set — especially automatic context injection into prompts — justifies the 5 stars for our use case.
