Ülevaade

GOAT is an open-source toolkit that lets AI agents perform onchain actions such as sending transactions, swapping tokens, interacting with smart contracts, and managing wallets. It provides a unified interface so developers can plug blockchain capabilities into agents built with popular frameworks without reinventing low-level integrations. The library supports multiple chains, wallet providers, and protocol plugins, making it a flexible foundation for building autonomous crypto agents, trading bots, or DeFi assistants. Because it is open source, teams can extend it with custom tools, audit the code, and contribute new integrations to the ecosystem.

  • Agent-ready onchain action library
  • Wallet and signer integrations
  • Token transfer and swap tools
  • DeFi protocol plugins
  • Multi-chain support
  • Framework adapters for LangChain, Vercel AI SDK, and others

Kasutusjuhud

Build autonomous onchain trading bots

Developers can create AI agents that monitor markets and execute token swaps or transfers across multiple chains using GOAT's unified wallet and DeFi tooling.

Add wallet actions to LangChain agents

Use GOAT's framework adapters to plug wallet management, transfers, and smart contract calls into agents built with LangChain or the Vercel AI SDK.

Create a DeFi assistant for end users

Build a conversational agent that interacts with DeFi protocol plugins to help users stake, swap, or manage positions through natural language requests.

Extend with custom protocol integrations

Teams can contribute new plugins or audit existing ones, tailoring GOAT to specific chains, signers, or protocols their product needs to support.

Does the job

Pretty happy overall. Wallet and signer integrations just works and open source and extensible. Requires crypto and coding knowledge can be annoying, but no dealbreakers — I'd recommend it to a friend without hesitating.

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: agent-ready onchain action library and reusable plugin architecture for protocols. Where it lags: requires crypto and coding knowledge. On balance the feature set — especially deFi protocol plugins — justifies the 4 stars for our use case.

Years in this space

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is wallet and signer integrations — handled better than most — and supports multiple chains and wallets. Plugin coverage varies by chain is my one real gripe. Worth the time if this is your use case.
