Resumen

FastAgency is an open-source framework designed to help developers move AI agent prototypes into real-world applications with minimal friction. It provides the scaffolding needed to turn multi-agent workflows into deployable services, complete with user interfaces and API endpoints. The tool integrates with popular agent frameworks and supports multiple runtime environments, letting teams choose between console interactions, web UIs, or REST APIs. This flexibility makes it suitable for both internal experimentation and customer-facing deployments. FastAgency targets developers who want to focus on agent logic rather than boilerplate, offering a structured path from local testing to scalable production setups.

Funciones clave

  • Multi-agent workflow scaffolding
  • Console, web, and API runtimes
  • Integration with agent frameworks like AutoGen
  • REST API generation for agents
  • Deployment-ready project structure
  • Open-source codebase

Casos de uso

Deploy Multi-Agent Workflows as REST APIs

Developers can convert AutoGen-based agent prototypes into production REST API services using FastAgency's deployment-ready scaffolding and automatic endpoint generation.

Build Web UIs for AI Agents

Teams can wrap multi-agent workflows in a web interface runtime, enabling customer-facing chat applications without building frontend infrastructure from scratch.

Prototype Agents via Console

Engineers can test agent logic locally through the console runtime before promoting the same workflow to web or API environments with minimal code changes.

Internal Tool Development

Organizations can rapidly build internal AI assistant tools by leveraging the structured project layout and integrations with established agent frameworks like AutoGen.

Solid for our team

We rolled this out across the team last quarter and open-source and developer-friendly. Open-source codebase fits neatly into how we already work, and rEST API generation for agents removed a step we used to do by hand. Requires programming knowledge to use, which is the main caveat, but it has held up under daily use.

Years in this space

I've evaluated a lot of these over the years. What stands out here is integration with agent frameworks like AutoGen — handled better than most — and works with established agent frameworks. Requires programming knowledge to use is my one real gripe. Worth the time if this is your use case.

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: multi-agent workflow scaffolding and works with established agent frameworks. Where it lags: requires programming knowledge to use. On balance the feature set — especially multi-agent workflow scaffolding — justifies the 4 stars for our use case.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Open-source codebase is exactly what I needed, and open-source and developer-friendly. but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.
