Přehled

Consensus is an academic search tool that uses AI to surface evidence-based answers from a large database of peer-reviewed scientific papers. Instead of returning a list of links, it extracts key findings directly from studies and presents them alongside source citations, making it easier to see what the research actually says on a given question. Designed for researchers, students, clinicians, and curious readers, Consensus combines natural language search with features like consensus meters, study summaries, and quality indicators. This helps users quickly gauge where scientific opinion stands on a topic without having to read every paper from start to finish.

  • Consensus meter for aggregated study results
  • Study snapshots and plain-language summaries
  • Citation links to original sources

Compared a few options

Evaluated this against two competitors. Where it wins: filters for study type, year, and journal quality and extracts direct findings with source citations. Where it lags: quality varies depending on the underlying research. On balance the feature set — especially aI-generated answers from scientific papers — justifies the 5 stars for our use case.

Use it every day

Honestly didn't expect to like it this much. Citation links to original sources is exactly what I needed, and consensus meter shows agreement across studies. but I reach for it almost every day now and it just clicks.

Skeptical, then convinced

I went in skeptical — most tools in this space overpromise. It actually delivers on gPT-powered synthesis of multiple papers, and useful for both experts and general readers caught me off guard. still, I'd recommend giving it a real trial.
